Services funded by NHS Wales offered in this pharmacy:

Common Ailments Confidential Advice
The Common Ailment Service is a free NHS service that patients can access for advice and treatment of 26 conditions.
Maintaining confidentiality is a vital part of the relationship between a pharmacy professional and a patient. Our duty of confidentiality applies to everyone whatever the patients age and applies to all information you obtain during the course of your professional practice.
Discharge Medicine Review Dispensing Prescriptions
This service is unique to Wales. The service supports you on your journey from one care setting to another.
Dispensing refers to the process of preparing and giving medicine to a named person on the basis of a prescription provided by a healthcare professional.
EHC* EHC**
Emergency hormonal Contraception (EHC), sometimes known as the "Morning After Pill". EHC is an emergency 'back-up' for after you have had unprotected sex. It is for occasional use. It is not suitable as a regular method of contraception. The pack contains one tablet - take the tablet as soon as possible. Use a condom during sex until your next period.
Emergency hormonal Contraception (EHC) is free of charge in certain areas. Please check with your pharmacist to see if there is a cost associated in your area.
Emergency supply enhanced Health Information
The purpose of the Emergency Supply Service is to ensure that you can access an urgent supply of your regular prescription medicines where you are unable to obtain a prescription before you need to take your next dose. The service may be needed because you have out of a medicine, or because you have lost or damaged your medicines, or because they have left home without them.
Our pharmacists and trained members of the pharmacy team will give you advice and provide medicine if needed. They may need to refer you to another healthcare professional such as your GP practice, dentist, optometrist or another NHS service if they feel your condition needs further investigation or more specialist care.
Medicine Disposal Medicines Use Reviews
If you have any medicines that you no longer use, you can take them to your local pharmacy and we will dispose of them safely. You should never dispose of your old medication by yourself at home, as it could be dangerous. If you throw your unwanted medication into the bin, then it could be found by children or pets who could eat it and make themselves sick. If you try to flush your unwanted medicine down the toilet or empty it into a drain then it could be harmful to the environment, so its just a bad idea no matter what you try! Do the right thing, do the safe thing, and give your unwanted medication to a pharmacist so they can get rid of it properly.
Medicines Use Reviews (MURs) involve the pharmacist conducting a structured review with you about your medicines and their use. This is to help you to improve your knowledge, concordance and use of your medicines. The review is carried out in our private consultation room. This is a great way for you to talk to a medical professional about any questions or concerns you might have with your medication.
